Literary Associations
Background
Literary Associations were established by the Literary Association Committee in 1994. The committee works under Mr. M.S. Mangrule, Assistant Professor in Hindi. Faulty members belonging to all languages have been given representation on the committee.
Azad English Literary Association
Established year
Azad English Literary Association has its beginnings in 1994 as one of the first co-curricular activities initiated within the college. Fondly named the “A.E.L.A”, this club has since its inception, gone on to uplift the English literary standards within the student population of Azad College. In the recent past, the A.E.L.A has gone on to revive projects such Debate and Seminars.
Vision and mission
The vision of the club is to instill, uphold and enhance the English literary skills within the student population of Azad College and give the necessary skills and confidence needed to use English as an effective tool in conveying one’s ideas.
The club also has a few missions up its sleeve, a few of which are:
- To develop skills required to facilitate the advancement and progress of English literature and the language as a whole.
- To inculcate the skills which will allow the present Royalists to advance in their chosen field through the proper use and knowledge of the English language.
- To bring about a generation of eloquent speakers with the confidence to speak in public.
- To showcase the interesting aspects that are available through the sphere of literature.

Introduction of Marathi Literary Association
महाविद्यालयात, मराठी, हिंदी, उर्दू आणि इंग्रजी या पाच भाषांचे पदवी स्तरावर अध्यापन केले जाते. बदलत्या काळानुसार जागतिकीकरणाचं भान भाषेला देणाऱ्या आणि तिचं भाषापण जगभर नेणाऱ्या सर्वांसाठीच महाविद्यालयाचे वाङ्मय मंडळ कार्यरत आहे.
